- Primary ballots were mailed July 25, 2017 to registered City voters for the Mayoral primary. Also, ballots were mailed to all registered Republicans in Grand County for the Congressional District 3 primary; Republicans within City limits received one ballot with both races.
The election is Vote By Mail; all ballots must be postmarked by August 14. They may be returned by US Mail or placed in official ballot drop boxes in the County Clerk's office (125 East Center) or the City Recorder's office (217 East Center) any business day until 8:00 PM on election day, August 15.
